I ve just got a Samsung microwave and refrigerator. Because of space constraints I ve kept the micro on the refrigerator. Will this cause problems? Also are there any specific sites where there are recipes for veg microwave cooking which are real easy

What would happen if a microwave oven’s door was open or removed, and the microwave was on and cooking?
Filed Under microwavereviews | 3 Comments
Once i saw a microwave with a missing door, but it was on and microwaving…. I was afraid to even get close to it….
so what happens? Is it still microwaving and if you put your hand inside it’d start cooking it off? are heated waves shooting out for a certain distance? is it dangerous to even be in the same room with it?
or do microwaves not heat without the proper seal of a door?

Why does my microwave start sparking, whenever I heat up a certain brand pork sausage?
Filed Under microwavereviews | 11 Comments
It’s really strange! There is a metal plate on the side wall that starts sparking and burning (it makes a humming and buzzing sound), only when I put in a certain pork sausage.
It’s like someone is inside the microwave welding! Very strange.
and I don’t place any metal in with it. I’ve even tried it with no plate just the meat itself and it still sparks. All other food heats up fine.

Is there a general time to microwave leftovers to assure they are safe to eat?
Filed Under microwavereviews | 7 Comments
Is there a time to microwave leftover from the refigerator which will assure that they are safe to eat? I know boiling something or baking it for so long will kill bacteria and germs. I don’t know how long I should leave last nights mac and cheese in the microwave to make sure I don’t get food poisoning. I don’t normally have a food thermometor available. I’m asking this based on an average wattage microwave.
Some foods, like meats, are just too tough if microwaved for too long. If they are precooked and just being warmed, does microwaving them for 15 or 30 seconds assure their safety?
thanks.

Is a microwave oven safe if the coating on the inside of the oven starts to peel off?
Filed Under microwavereviews | 3 Comments
The white coat on the inside of my microwave has two small areas where it seems to have worn off. I can see black there now and am wondering if the oven is still safe to use?
